Fire door & smoke damper inspections are extremely important for the welfare and safety of your business, hospital , health care facility, school, apartment complex and the like. TBS inspects and certifies fire doors, roll down fire doors, (HVAC) air conditioner and heating fire dampers, ceiling hatches, trash chutes and laundry chutes.  Don’t take your Fire Door & Smoke Damper Inspections lightly.  We send you an Inspector that will test and certify your dampers and doors in accordance with NFPA 80. We also provide the correct documentation that you will need.

NFPA 80 is the standard for fire doors and other openings. This standard regulates the installation and maintenance of assemblies and devices used to protect openings in walls, floors, and ceilings against the spread of fire and smoke within, into, or out of buildings.

Not everyone inspects and certifies fire doors like Tampa Bay Safety.  We do it right the first time and provide you with the documentation that you need. Providing the correct reports for licensing and fire agencies is a must.

Frequency of Inspection:

Fire Doors are inspected from the date of installation and then one calendar year from that date, and every year after that.

Fire & Smoke Dampers are inspected from the date of installation and then every four years after that for non-hospital healthcare facilities and apartment complexes, and every six years from the installation date for hospitals.
