What is a Fire Warden?
A fire warden is a person trained in assessing and monitoring for fire emergencies in a building, buildings or a location. The fire warden will call 911 and alert all the occupants to vacate a building in case of a fire or similar emergency. Fire wardens are trained in conducting these patrols and they are required to document their findings of each patrol on a fire watch log. The fire watch log is to be turned into the property owners at the end of the patrol service and is to be kept on site for the fire inspector or fire marshal to review for up to two years.
