Emergency First Responder Class
Prepare your company:
Medical first responder and fire emergency training can be an essential part of an in-house Emergency Response Team(ERT). Team members on this life saving team will be trained in scene safety, personal protective equipment, CPR, First Aid, Fire extinguisher and AED use.
Identifying an emergency:
Calling 911 can itself save a life and remaining calm when taking care of co-workers is paramount when responding to an emergency in-house. All training is based on the current National Guidelines for CPR, First Aid and Fire extinguisher use. This course does not provide licensing or permission to provide emergency care, it provides information that can be used in an emergency and is not meant to be a certification to practice medicine, or to become an EMT or Paramedic. Please contact us if you are interested in courses that will provide National Certification through the American Heart Association or another organization.
Course costs is $200.00 for each student, a minimum of 10 students will be charged regardless of how many people are in the class. Please contact us if you have any question’s.

- Tampa Bay Safety, LLCEmergency First Responder Class$200.00This course is an emergency responder class that includes CPR, First Aid and Fire extinguisher use. The course is taught to people that work at your company so that they can respond to a medical or fire emergency as a medical care, or safety team, while first responders are on their way. Your staff will be taught to provide basic medical care to help support life while the Paramedics and EMTs are responding. Our fire extinguisher training itself makes this class an excellent deal. The course is $200.00 per person. A minimum of 10 people is charged for the class. This class does not stop the need for 911 services, but can help save a life while Fire and EMS crews are on there way. Remember to always call 911 first in any emergency.

- Fire Extinguisher Training in Class$35.00In person fire extinguisher training for small or large companies. $35.00 for each student, minimum of 10 students. All supplies brought to you, or you can come to our classroom in Oldsmar, FL.
About your instructor:
The instructor for this course is the Director of TBS (Tampa Bay Safety) Patrick Competelli. Chief Competelli is the former Fire Chief for the City of Belleair Bluffs Fire Rescue and Former District Fire Chief for the City of Dunedin Fire Rescue. Chief Competelli holds a Masters Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Kansas State University, a Bachelors Degree in Public Administration and Organizational Studies from Eckerd College and two Associates Degrees, one in Fire Science, and one in Emergency Medical Services. Chief Competelli also holds certifications as a Fire Instructor III, Fire Inspector I, Arson Investigator, Fire Officer II, Fire Extinguisher Technician, CPR Instructor, First Aid Instructor, and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic. Chief Competelli spent the last twenty-five years working in several positions with the Pinellas County Medical Director’s Office to include; Director of Quality Management, Medical Communications Officer and Medical Officer of the Day.
GRADES AND ASSIGNMENTS
You are responsible for completing all assignments, papers and group projects (if any) in order to receive full credit for the course. A passing grade is 70% and is considered a “C”. Points will be deducted for late or missing assignments and will affect your final grade. Your final grade must meet a minimum score of 70%, a “C” in order to pass this course.
COURSE CONTENT AND DELIVERY
The course consists of quizzes that will cover information from each lesson, and may require a group discussion board to which you must respond to at least two threads to receive credit and a final exam. This course may be delivered on-line or in-person and all work that is required shall be sent to the instructor via email. (info@tampabaysafety.com).
CODE OF CONDUCT
Each students code of conduct is expected to be exactly what it would be like in a regular classroom atmosphere. Communications on message boards, privately between students and groups or with the instructor or guest instructors is expected to be extremely professional and appropriate. Each student is responsible for his or her own work and will be expelled if found to be sharing information or copying or sharing test information with a student of this course or of any other course taken via the on-line learning portal. Plagiarism is NOT advised.
